Technical Paper of the Week

This week, we take a look at a paper titled “Automatically Defining Game Action Spaces for Exploration Using Program Analysis”. The authors, Sasha Volokh and William G.J. Halfond, discuss a code analysis-based approach to determine the valid action space for a game. This action space covers not only button presses, but also mouse clicks, and even considers the current game state to figure out valid actions in real time. In the end, these approaches are used by agents to explore the state space of a game.

Members of our community discuss these papers on our Discord #reading-club channel. You can also find all past resources on our GitHub.
