Innovation Friday - How Regression Games Advances Game QA Automation Through Weekly Experimentation by Aaron Vontell, CEO of Regression Games
How did we get recognition as one of the most innovative game startups? At Regression Games, we commit to new ideas through our Innovation Friday initiative. Every week, our team steps away from regular tasks to explore new possibilities in game testing and QA automation. The results? Breakthrough features like LLM-powered behavior trees, Claude-driven gameplay testing, and enhanced Unity QA tools that are transforming how games are tested.
In our latest blog post, we pull back the curtain on how Innovation Friday works, share our biggest successes (and learning moments), and reveal the key principles that make it effective. Whether you're a game developer, studio leader, or just curious about fostering innovation in tech, you'll see how we balance immediate needs with future innovation.

Coming Soon - Thomas Thompson’s “Goal State” Game AI Course
A few days into their Kickstarter, Thomas Thompson from the AI and Games channel funded their new course, Goal State.
Goal State is a series of educational courses that explains the theory and practice of creating artificial intelligence (AI) for game development. This includes long-form lecture-style content, plus accompanying tutorials and homework exercises to showcase how you can build these systems in games engines. Goal State is brought to you by AI and Games, who have developed a strong reputation over the past decade in delivering insightful and informative videos and resources on how AI works in game development.
They have a few reach goals you can still contribute to - definitely take part if you want a solid course on developing AI for games!

In this paper, the authors discuss a new way to detect and fix issues in procedurally-generated levels more efficiently than previous methods. Join us in the discussion!
Members of our community discuss these papers on our Discord #reading-club channel. You can also find all past resources on our GitHub.
